Customer Story · AI Migration
How Hurdle's AI migrated a Taekwondo academy off WellnessLiving and Squarespace — in days, not months
Master Jaehyun's academy ran on a custom Squarespace site, WellnessLiving for memberships, and spreadsheets for camp registration. Hurdle's AI imported the old website, drafted six weeks of summer-camp marketing, and now drafts every parent communication on demand — replacing three tools and an unwritten marketing job description with one AI-native platform.

JTA's growing student community in Broadlands, VA — now running on Hurdle at jjhacademy.com
JTA Jeong Jaehyun Taekwondo Academy
Broadlands, Virginia · Authentic Korean Taekwondo
JTA is a Broadlands, Virginia academy offering authentic Korean Taekwondo for all ages, led by Master Jaehyun Jeong. The studio runs after-school programs, weekly classes across every belt rank, and a full slate of summer camps — six weeks of training that mix poomsae, sparring, and breaking with daily field trips to Top Golf, Hyper Kidz, and the local theater.
Like most owner-led martial arts schools, Master Jaehyun wore every hat: instructor, registrar, marketer, IT department, and customer support. The academy was growing — but the tools weren't, and there was no marketing team waiting in the wings.

The Challenge
Three systems, none of them talking — and no one to run the marketing
Before Hurdle, JTA ran on a stack pieced together over years. The public site was a custom Squarespace build that looked good but couldn't take a registration. Memberships and class schedules lived in WellnessLiving — a generic gym/wellness platform that wasn't built for a martial arts academy with belt ranks, camp weeks, or after-school carpools. Camp registration spilled into spreadsheets and one-off Square invoices.
Each week of summer camp had its own theme arc, field trip, packing list, and a different price for a 4-day vs. 5-day week. WellnessLiving's class-booking flow couldn't model that. So every new camp week meant Master Jaehyun rewriting the same announcement email, regenerating the same packing list, and answering the same parent questions in DMs.
The migration itself looked daunting too. Years of program descriptions, FAQs, gallery content, and class schedules lived on the old Squarespace site. Moving all of it by hand wasn't going to happen — Master Jaehyun had a studio to run.
"Hurdle's AI literally rebuilt my website for me. It read my old Squarespace site, pulled out my programs and FAQs, and stood up the new site in a day. Now when I open a new camp week, the AI drafts the email, the social post, even the poster. I just review and send."
"I went from running three tools and a spreadsheet to one platform that does the marketing for me — without hiring anyone."

The Solution
AI did the work of a migration team, a marketing team, and a registrar
JTA didn't hire an agency, a developer, or a part-time marketer. Hurdle's AI handled the migration and now handles the ongoing marketing, communications, and back-office work — Master Jaehyun stays in his element.
AI rebuilt the website from the old Squarespace URL
Hurdle's AI website importer crawled JTA's existing Squarespace site, extracted the about content, programs, FAQs, contact info, and instructor bios, then structured it into Hurdle's site builder. The new jjhacademy.com went live with content Master Jaehyun had spent years writing — without him copy-pasting a single page.
AI generated the summer-camp marketing — six weeks of it
Each of JTA's six camp weeks (Jun 15 → Jul 31) needed its own announcement email, social caption, and parent reminder. Hurdle's AI program-marketing engine drafted all of it from the camp settings — themes, field trips, pricing, packing lists. Master Jaehyun reviewed and shipped instead of writing from scratch.
AI created branded posters and social graphics
Hurdle's poster generation tool produced Instagram-ready images for every camp week, every class promotion, and every event — using JTA's branding. No designer, no Canva templates, no late-night graphic-design tax for the owner.
AI drafts every parent message in one click
In-product, Hurdle's quick-message AI drafts replies to parent questions, weather cancellations, weekly camp recaps, and class reminders. Master Jaehyun edits and sends — the blank-page problem is gone.
An AI copilot runs the back office
Hurdle's in-product AI agent answers questions ("how many spots left in week 3?"), creates programs from a sentence, charges or refunds parents, schedules events, and drafts emails — all from a chat sidebar. It's the operations hire JTA never had to make.
A branded parent app, included
Every JTA family now has the Hurdle member app on their phone, branded for the academy. Schedule, payments, attendance, packing lists, and announcements — all in one place. WellnessLiving's app charged extra for branding; Hurdle's is included.

Results
An AI-native platform did the work of an agency, a developer, and a marketer
JTA didn't just save money on software — they got their evenings back. The website that used to live in Squarespace is now AI-imported into Hurdle. The camp marketing that used to take a weekend per week is now a five-minute review. And as the academy keeps growing — more belts, more after-school families, more camp weeks — the AI grows with it, without adding another login, another contractor, or another spreadsheet.
