Everything a membership needs

Levels with their own perks

Bronze, Silver, and Gold, each with its own price and its own member prices across your programs.

Credits that refill

Include appointment credits with a level. They refill every billing period.

A term from their join date

Set a minimum commitment counted from each member's own start. An early exit fee is yours to offer.

Pause instead of cancel

Staff or members pause until a date, with a limit you set. Billing restarts that morning.

Everyone billed on the 1st

Line every member up on one billing day, or save cards now and start charging on a date you pick.

Dues on any rhythm

Memberships bill monthly or yearly. Class dues can renew weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly.

Fees that match how they pay

Pass processing fees through. Bank payments get the lower bank rate on every renewal.

No surprise charges

Send an optional reminder five days before each renewal.

A limit when you need one

Cap households or members. New signups stop when you are full.

A plan ends. A membership does not.

Questions

How is a membership different from registration?

Registration collects a one-time payment or a payment plan that ends after the last installment. A membership bills on a schedule until someone cancels. Class dues that renew every week, month, quarter, or year work the same way.

What is the difference between household and individual coverage?

Household coverage charges once for the family, and the member price applies to everyone in that household. Individual coverage charges each person, and the member price applies only to the person who is enrolled.

What happens if a card fails?

Hurdle retries the charge. While retries are running, the person still counts as a member. If retries are exhausted, or the membership is paused, member pricing stops until billing is current again.

Can a family pause a membership?

Yes. Staff can pause until a date or leave it paused with no end date. You can also let members pause themselves, with a cap on how long a pause can last. Billing starts again on the date you set.

Can I require a minimum commitment?

Yes. Set a minimum term on a membership level, such as six months. It counts from each member's own join date, so someone who joins late still owes the months they agreed to. If they leave early, you can choose to charge an early exit fee. It is never charged automatically.

Can I move my members over without charging them twice?

Yes. Set a billing start date when you create the membership. Members save a card now and are not charged until that date, so their first charge on Hurdle lines up with their last one on your old system.
