Intermediate elementary. Swimmers work unaided on simultaneous and alternating arm and leg movements and begin proper stroke technique. Skills: flutter kick, freestyle with side breathing, elementary backstroke, backstroke, rollovers and glides, beginner breaststroke, introduction to butterfly, and treading water. Class size up to 4. 30 minutes.

Introductory competitive clinic. Swimmers fine-tune all four strokes and the turns that go with them, and learn how a swim workout is structured. Skills: using a pace clock, swimming each stroke for at least two laps, flip and open turns, drills, and the fundamentals of a swim workout. Class size up to 8. 60 minutes.
