Join us in the beautiful countryside of Northern California's wine country for a day of transformative practice. Together, we will study select poems of Sant Kabir, a renowned 15th c. Indian mystic and poet whose words continue to inspire seekers across traditions. Born a Muslim and a disciple of a Hindu guru, Kabir's songs speak beyond organized religion. They are mystical, rebellious, ecstatic, and deeply personal — offering simple, direct wisdom for living a spiritual life in everyday experience. If you love Rumi, sacred music, kirtan or spiritual poetry, you’ll feel at home here. We will study the wisdom of the songs and actually learn to sing a few. We will also participate in guided meditation and reflection, yoga asana, and breathwork sessions, with gentle rest breaks in between. This is a day to go deeper in your practice and understanding of self and your spiritual path - whatever that may be - while learning directly from Indian teachers of yoga and meditation. Our focus for this retreat is looking at the ego, especially the spiritual identities it adopts, and the ways in which we inhabit and lose ourselves in these identities. We will hear what Sant Kabir advises when we are stuck in these divisions and adverse opinions of others, and how to navigate outer differences into a lived experience of oneness. Our retreat will conclude with a community kirtan featuring live singing of Kabir bhajans, reflection, and open discussion. No prior knowledge is needed — just curiosity and an open heart. Children of all ages are welcome to attend the evening kirtan program. Land of the Good Members get 20% off using code 2026member ; financial aid and partial work-trade options are available. Join us for a gentle beginner-friendly morning meditation class in the barn! Meditation is a practice of listening deeply to our true selves with curiosity and kindness. As work, life, and the world gets more turbulent and chaotic, it is essential that we take a moment to pause and reconnect with our own being. Our practice invites us to work with the mind as it is; our goal is not to force ourselves or our mind to sit still or quiet down unless these things are happening naturally. Instruction will be provided for those new to the practice. We will do some gentle stretches to awaken our body and then sit for a short meditation practice (10-15 minutes). Class concludes with a community check-in and personal intention setting for the day. This class is included in each Land of the Good day pass. If you are just stopping by for tea and meditation, you are welcome to attend on a donation basis. Instructor: Shivani Hawkins is a lifelong meditator completing 25 years of teaching the practice.

Welcome to Self-Care School for Moms (& all birthing parents)! Let's be real: moms are AMAZING at everything except for prioritizing and taking care of ourselves. It's something most of us were never taught, and struggle to implement unless we have a supportive group and some accountability around how we show up for ourselves. Self-Care School's curriculum has three main components: caring for your body, your mind, and your heart. Each month, we will meet once in-person to learn real skills for physical and mental/emotional self-care each month in the form of a guided spa party with a small cohort of fellow moms! AND IT'S FREEEEEE for LOTG MEMBERS! ($85/mo for non-members) Expect real talk about our changing bodies, how we feel in them, what it's like to be in or nearing perimenopause, and the challenges of making time for yourself while parenting in the modern era. Each workshop starts with a monthly non-alcoholic drink and check-in, followed by a guided skin or body-care practice focusing on the theme of each month. We will follow this with gentle relaxation and reflection exercises, and end with a real discussion on the monthly topic. Afterwards, you'll have access to our monthly online community circle where you can participate in our self-care challenge and homework each month that's all about prioritizing and taking care of YOU! SCHOOL YEAR CURRICULUM: September: Cleanse & Protect; Letting Go of Mom Guilt October: Hydration; Nourishing the Heart November: Facial Massage; Expanding Pleasure & Joy December: Masks; Protecting Your Peace January: Lymph Detox & Inflammation Relief; Rest & Release February: Scalp Treatment; Sleep & Quiet March: Hair & Nails; Cultivating Beauty April: Feet & Hands; Creativity & Play May: Building Your Own Self-Care Habits; Journaling & Reflection You can attend one or all monthly sessions as needed.
