Join us for a gentle beginner-friendly morning meditation class in the barn! Meditation is a practice of listening deeply to our true selves with curiosity and kindness. As work, life, and the world gets more turbulent and chaotic, it is essential that we take a moment to pause and reconnect with our own being. Our practice invites us to work with the mind as it is; our goal is not to force ourselves or our mind to sit still or quiet down unless these things are happening naturally. Instruction will be provided for those new to the practice. We will do some gentle stretches to awaken our body and then sit for a short meditation practice (10-15 minutes). Class concludes with a community check-in and personal intention setting for the day. This class is included in each Land of the Good day pass. If you are just stopping by for tea and meditation, you are welcome to attend on a donation basis. Instructor: Shivani Hawkins is a lifelong meditator completing 25 years of teaching the practice.

Feeling stuck, distracted, overwhelmed, or lonely working from home? Join us for a true "co"-working session, where we meet up to connect, get clear, and find courageous flow as we work. Humans have historically always worked alongside other humans, and numerous studies show the benefits of "body doubling", especially for neurodivergent people. Each of these sessions are gently held with invitations to periodically check-in with self and others. That said, you are always welcome to work on whatever you need to, including calls and meetings. If you finish what you set out to do, you can ring a little bell and we will all shout "Hurray!" If you get stuck, there's free tea & coffee, the garden to go weed in, the open art studio to go play in, or cozy couches to flop on. Our Monday deep work session is an invitation to Get Organized: 1) we will map out our tasks, determining what is doable and necessary; 2) set intentions and goals in alignment with our priorities; 3) lay the inner and outer groundwork for a successful week ahead! This session is included in your day pass at Land of the Good.

We invite senior citizens (and any elders 50+) to join us for a morning of gardening, storytime, and simple arts and crafts with our local babies and toddlers, as well as those enrolled in our on-site infant/toddler care. Numerous studies show the tremendous benefits of intergenerational play between humanity's oldest and youngest members. And, many of us do not have grandparents or grandchildren nearby. This is an opportunity to nourish your heart, mind, and body in a true village experience. Elders of all levels of physical ability are welcome to join in for any length of time including just to watch or rest outdoors. Our garden teachers will be onsite to facilitate safe and joyful interaction. Free tea/coffee available, and you are welcome to continue gardening after lunch if you like (or check our calendar for other offerings you may wish to join). There is no charge for this event, with many thanks to a generous grant from Sonoma County's District 5.
