Ocarinas with Jenny Reeves Johnson

Let the clay sing! Build your very own musical ocarina in this exciting class taught by Jenny Reeves Johnson. With no clay experience necessary, this is a great opportunity for anyone to create a 3D artwork that is also musically functional! Using the pinch-pot-method, students will manipulate clay into a real or fantastical animal-like shape. After firing, glazing, and a final fire, there will be a short concert to show off these wonderful pieces. High school students are welcome. Junior high students may attend with parental supervision.
